Dramaturgy comes from the symbolic interaction perspective as a stream symbolic interaction performed by an interviewer and the subject of a research study (Lune and Berg 2017). A researcher decides on a role to play when interviewing as a purposeful way to analyze the data presented and cooperatively seek to provide information that is needed. Interviewers need to prepare a script or schedule when conducting standardized and use interview guidelines for less standardized sessions (Lune and Burg 2017). When broad topics will be producing patterns in your data a set of categories can help determine the questions most relevant for your project’s inquiry. The order of questions will be the next step in creating an outline. This will be my first experience interviewing another person the research tips such as starting off easy and moving up to more challenging material is a novice oversight that will now be thankfully avoided (Lune and Berg 2017). Naturally demographic information allows a warming up period into a place that probes into essential questions and extra questions that provide insight into the primary focus of the research topic. and then additional questions after new knowledge is obtained. This style of ordering questions is an attractive method for my project because it slowly builds a rapport at first and gains momentum as each question grows in depth.
